Licensed electricians serving Roanoke
We’ll say this plainly: Neighbors Electric is based in Crowley, on the south side of Fort Worth, and Roanoke sits up in Denton County on the far north edge of the metro, near Southlake and the Northwest Regional Airport. It’s the longest drive on our service map, not the shortest. We still run jobs out to Roanoke, and we quote the trip honestly as part of a flat rate rather than pretending it’s around the corner.
If you’re closer to a Denton County electrician than you are to Crowley, that’s a fair thing to weigh. What we bring to the table is a licensed contractor who’ll give you a flat number over the phone and stand behind the work, whether the drive is ten miles or forty.

Homes in Roanoke
Roanoke’s Housing and Business Mix
Roanoke has built its identity around its official state designation as the “Unique Dining Capital of Texas,” and that isn’t just marketing — the city has an unusually dense concentration of restaurants for its size, many of them along Byron Nelson Boulevard (State Highway 114 Business). That matters for electrical work because commercial kitchen equipment, walk-in coolers, and restaurant HVAC put a different kind of load on a building’s electrical system than a typical retail space, and a lot of that equipment gets added or swapped out well after the building’s original panel was sized.
On the residential side, Roanoke’s population has grown steadily — up to roughly 10,600 by recent estimates — with a mix of established neighborhoods and newer construction feeding off growth from Southlake, Flower Mound, and the broader northwest corridor. Newer homes tend to come with higher-capacity panels already in place; older homes in the established parts of town are the ones we typically get called out to upgrade.
Roanoke’s incorporation dates back to 1933, and the older core of the city near downtown reflects that history — smaller lots, older service, and panels that in some cases have never been formally upgraded since the home changed hands more than once. That’s a different job than wiring a restaurant kitchen on Byron Nelson Boulevard, but it’s just as common a call for us out here.
With the Northwest Regional Airport just a couple of miles north and Southlake, Westlake, and Flower Mound all close by, Roanoke sits in one of the faster-growing corners of Denton County. New subdivisions are going up steadily, and we see both ends of that growth: brand-new homes with modern panels, and older properties that haven’t been touched since the surrounding area was mostly open land.

Why the License Matters
A restaurant with an overloaded panel isn’t a minor inconvenience — it’s a fire risk and a lost night of business. Neighbors Electric holds Texas Electrical Contractor License #41555, and we treat every job in Roanoke, residential or commercial, with the same standard: pulled permits, proper sizing, and an inspection trail, not a quick fix that works until it doesn’t.
Licensed work also means the liability is covered on our end, not yours. If a job isn’t done to code and something happens later, an unlicensed handyman generally isn’t carrying the insurance to make that right. We are.
For a restaurant owner, that also means less downtime in the long run. A panel or circuit that’s properly sized and permitted the first time is one less thing that fails on a Friday night. We’d rather size the job right up front than get called back for an emergency repair during a dinner rush.
What to Expect When You Call
We’ll get a sense of the job over the phone, whether it’s a home or a business, and schedule a visit before quoting a flat rate. For restaurants and other commercial spaces, we try to work around business hours when we can. For homeowners, most repairs are handled in a single visit, and panel or circuit work that requires a permit gets scheduled with that timeline explained up front.
Flat Rate, Even on the Longer Drives
Because Roanoke is on the far edge of where we work, we’re upfront about the trip. You get one flat price before we start, so there’s no debate about mileage once the van is in your driveway.
