Licensed electricians serving Colleyville

Neighbors Electric is based in Crowley, on the south side of the Fort Worth metro, and Colleyville sits on the far northeast side of Tarrant County – it is not a quick trip. We say that up front because we would rather you know exactly what you are getting: a licensed electrician who will drive up SH 121 or across town to get to you, show up at the time we said, and price the job the same way we would price it in our own neighborhood. If that honesty matters to you as much as the work does, we would like to earn your business in Colleyville.

Homes in Colleyville

EV chargers and generators are common requests here

Colleyville’s larger garages and higher household incomes mean we get more requests here for EV charger installation than in most of the smaller cities we serve. A Level 2 charger needs its own dedicated circuit, sized and wired correctly for the vehicle and the panel it’s tied into – not a shared 20-amp outlet in the garage that was never meant to run eight hours a night. We also install a fair number of whole-home generators for Colleyville homeowners who want the house, the well pump if there is one, the security system, and the refrigerators to keep running through a North Texas ice storm or a summer grid strain event, not just a few rooms on a portable unit and an extension cord.

If you are building out a home theater, a detached workshop, or an outdoor kitchen, those projects almost always need new circuits run correctly the first time, not patched in after the fact. That’s wiring work we do regularly, and it’s worth having someone licensed involved from the planning stage rather than after an inspector flags it.

Not sure what your home needs? Call (817) 533-0943 and we’ll tell you straight.

Excellent experience with Neighbors Electrical. I messaged them late last night not expecting a response but to my surprise they got me scheduled for an estimate first thing the next morning. Mathew showed up promptly, provided a quote, we agreed on the price and he knocked out the work the same day. He was very professional and cleaned up after the work was complete. I will definitely call Neighbors Electric again if we need any electrical work down on our house.

Neighbors Electric is fantastic. On time, no nonsense and finished the job quickly. Matthew came and installed a 50 amp outlet for me and I was up and running in no time. Highly recommend and would definitely use again.

The team here was great and would not go anywhere else. We got a quote in the morning for an EV charger and they came back in the afternoon to completely install the charge sub panel and surge protectors. I was given the option that I needed and was told that I do not need an upgrade to upsell me. Once done the area was clean and genuinely looked like an upgrade on my house. I would recommend anyone to Neighborhood Electric, you will not be disappointed.

I discovered my outlet was burnt after someone "fixed" my leaking window ac unit. Gerardo arrived quickly and replaced it. He was very detailed and attentive. If you have any electrical issues in your home, I highly recommend this company.

Colleyville homes put real demand on a panel

Colleyville, ZIP 76034, is one of the more affluent communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with a mix of established neighborhoods like Broughton and Ross Downs Estates and newer construction on larger lots. Homes here tend to run bigger than the DFW average – more square footage, more HVAC zones, pools, outdoor kitchens, and increasingly, electric vehicles and standby generators. That combination adds up to a lot more draw on the electrical system than a standard builder-grade panel was ever sized for.

We see the same pattern on almost every larger Colleyville home we work on: a 150 or 200-amp panel that was adequate when the house was built, now feeding a second EV, a home theater, outdoor lighting, a workshop, and whatever got added along the way. None of that is a problem by itself. It becomes a problem when nobody re-evaluates the panel’s capacity as the loads pile on. A proper electrical panel upgrade gives you the headroom to add circuits without tripping breakers or, worse, quietly overheating a panel that’s running past what it was designed to carry.

Older sections still need attention too

Not every Colleyville home is new construction. Some of the established neighborhoods have homes from the 1980s and 1990s with panels and wiring that were fine for the era but are now undersized for the loads modern households put on them. If your breakers trip more than they used to, if you notice flickering lights when the AC kicks on, or if you’ve got a panel with a brand that’s known for reliability issues, it’s worth having it looked at before it becomes an emergency. Circuit breaker repair and panel inspections are some of the most common calls we get from homeowners who just want to know their system is safe.

Why the license actually matters

Electrical work in a home this size and this complex is not a place to gamble on unlicensed labor. Neighbors Electric holds Texas Electrical Contractor License #41555. That license means the work gets pulled through inspection where required, it means we’re accountable to the state board if something goes wrong, and it means the person wiring your generator interlock or your EV circuit actually had to demonstrate competence to get there. In a market like Colleyville, where insurance carriers and home inspectors look closely at electrical work during resale, having a licensed contractor’s name on the permit is not a formality. It protects the value of the house.

Flat-rate pricing, no surprises

We price jobs on a flat rate, quoted before we start, not an hourly meter that runs while we’re standing in your garage figuring out the problem. You’ll know the number before you agree to it, and that number doesn’t change because the job took an extra 40 minutes. We think that’s how pricing should work everywhere, and we don’t make an exception for Colleyville just because the homes are bigger. A panel upgrade costs what a panel upgrade costs; we’re not going to charge more because of the ZIP code.

If something needs attention now

A breaker that keeps tripping, a burning smell near an outlet, or a panel that’s warm to the touch isn’t a wait-and-see situation. Call our emergency electrician line and we’ll get someone out to Colleyville as fast as we reasonably can.
