Licensed electricians serving Azle
Neighbors Electric is based in Crowley, on the south side of Fort Worth, and Azle sits roughly 30 miles from us up and around the north side of the metro. It’s a longer drive than some of the other towns we cover, and we’re honest about that: Azle is part of our regular Fort Worth-area territory, not a next-door call, so scheduling a same-day emergency visit may take a little more coordinating than it would for a job closer to Crowley. For planned work, panel upgrades, generator installs, wiring projects, it’s well within reach.
Azle straddles the line between Tarrant and Parker counties, about 17 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth, with Eagle Mountain Lake running along its eastern edge. That lake, an 8,694-acre reservoir on the Trinity River with dozens of miles of shoreline, shapes a lot of what we see electrically in this part of town.

Homes in Azle
Azle’s Housing Picture: Lakeside Homes and Rural Properties
Homes closer to Eagle Mountain Lake run the range from older weekend-cabin-style places that have since become full-time residences to larger newer builds with docks, boat lifts, and outdoor kitchens, all of which need their own dedicated, properly protected circuits given how much time they spend exposed to moisture. GFCI protection on anything near the water isn’t optional, and outdoor panels or subpanels installed years ago without the right enclosure rating are a common find on lake-adjacent properties.
Move away from the shoreline and Azle has a lot of the acreage and rural character common to this stretch of Parker and Tarrant counties, properties with a shop, a barn, or a second structure pulling power off a run that was added on whenever the owner needed it, not necessarily to current code. FM 730, the main road running through town, connects a mix of older in-town homes to that more spread-out rural housing on the edges, and the electrical work looks different depending on which side of that line a property falls on.

What We Actually Do in Azle
- Electrical panel upgrades for older lake homes and rural properties outgrowing their original service
- EV charger installation, sized to the panel and property, not a generic template
- Whole-home generator installation, especially relevant for lakeside and rural Azle properties where outages tend to last longer
- Wiring repair for dock and outdoor circuits, shop feeds, and aging runs near the water
- Circuit breaker repair for GFCI and standard breakers that won’t hold
- Emergency electrician service for power loss, exposed wiring, or anything that smells like it’s overheating
Why a Nearby Electrician Still Matters Here
Even at 30 miles out, being based in Crowley rather than in Dallas or somewhere on the far east side of the metro keeps Azle inside a manageable service radius for us. That matters most on the kind of jobs where a contractor has to come back more than once, a panel upgrade that needs a follow-up inspection, a generator install that needs a return trip to finish transfer switch wiring. A shorter trip means we can actually schedule that follow-up without it becoming its own ordeal.
Lake and Rural Wiring Isn’t Standard Suburban Wiring
A property near Eagle Mountain Lake with a dock, a boathouse, or an outdoor kitchen has different exposure and different code requirements than a house on a standard Fort Worth block. Same goes for a shop or barn on a rural Azle lot. We don’t treat either as an edge case, it’s a regular part of what we do out here.
Boat lifts and dock lighting in particular tend to get wired by whoever built the dock, not always an electrician, and it’s common to find extension cords doing a job that should have been a permanent, properly rated outdoor circuit years ago. It works until it doesn’t, usually right when the lake is busiest and everyone’s using the dock at once. Getting that fixed before it becomes a hazard is one of the more common calls we get from the Eagle Mountain Lake side of Azle.
Flat-Rate Pricing, No Surprises
You get a flat price before we start, whether the job is a straightforward panel swap or a more involved dock and outdoor circuit repair. If we open something up and find more than expected, a bad splice, undersized wire feeding a shop, we stop and walk you through it rather than running up a bill you didn’t agree to.
Licensed and Accountable
Neighbors Electric operates under TECL #41555, the electrical contractor license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. On lakeside and rural properties especially, where it can be tempting to have a neighbor with a truck handle wiring work off the books, a licensed contractor is what lets us pull permits and stand behind the work if something goes wrong.
