Licensed electricians serving Alvarado
Neighbors Electric is based in Crowley, about 17 miles north of Alvarado up I-35W, and Johnson County starts just south of our shop. Alvarado is the first city you hit once you cross that line, built right where US-67 crosses I-35W in the eastern part of the county. It isn’t a special trip for us. Alvarado calls fit into the same route we already run through Fort Worth, Burleson, and the rest of southern Tarrant County every week, which keeps the price and the response time honest instead of padded for distance. We’re TECL #41555, licensed to do electrical work anywhere in Texas, and Alvarado has been a normal part of our coverage area since we opened.

Homes in Alvarado
Alvarado’s Housing Runs From Old Farmhouses to New Subdivisions
Alvarado has grown well past its old downtown square. Newer subdivisions have gone in off Highway 67 and along the interstate corridor, while acreage properties and older farmhouses still make up a lot of the west side of town, especially out toward Alvarado Park Lake. Sabre Tubular Structures runs a large fabrication plant near the interstate, and there’s a Louis Vuitton leather goods facility just outside city limits, so on the commercial side we see panels sized for light industrial use as often as we see a standard residential service. A lot of the older housing stock near downtown is still running on panels and wiring installed decades before anyone had an EV charger, a home office, or a shop full of power tools to feed off the same meter, and that mismatch between old wiring and modern load is where most service calls start.
Out on the rural properties west of town, the story is different but the calls are related: long underground runs out to a shop or barn, a well pump that needs its own dedicated circuit, and panels that were adequate for a house alone but not for a house plus a workshop plus outbuildings. We size those jobs for what the property actually draws, not just what the original builder assumed.
Alvarado’s position on I-35W has also brought in more traffic-facing commercial development along the frontage roads, and Alvarado ISD has grown to keep pace with families moving in from Burleson and Crowley looking for a bit more land at a lower price. That mix of school growth, light industrial employers, and rural residential means we’re rarely doing the exact same job twice in a week here. A panel upgrade at a farmhouse off FM 917 looks nothing like a tenant improvement at a shop near the interstate, and we price and staff each one on its own merits rather than running a one-size job.

What We Handle in Alvarado
Whether you’re in one of the newer neighborhoods off I-35W or out on acreage near Alvarado Park Lake, the calls we get most often are:
- Electrical panel upgrades for older homes near downtown Alvarado still running undersized or outdated panels
- Wiring repair for farmhouses and older homes with wiring that predates modern code
- Circuit breaker repair when breakers start tripping under a normal, everyday load
- EV charger installation for the newer subdivisions off Highway 67
- Whole-home generator installation, a common request on acreage properties where a well pump can’t sit without power
- Emergency electrician service for the calls that can’t wait until morning
Why Hiring Someone Close Actually Matters
Electrical work isn’t something you want handled by whoever answers the phone first and happens to be an hour away. A short drive means a technician can actually get to Alvarado quickly when a panel is arcing or a breaker won’t reset, and it means we know the difference between a job that’s routine in a 1970s farmhouse near downtown and one that’s routine in a new-construction home off the interstate. Being close also means we’re not guessing at permit and inspection requirements for Johnson County. We pull the same permits and follow the same code whether the job is five minutes from our shop or twenty.
TECL #41555 is our state license, and it’s the only credential that matters here. We’re not going to claim affiliations or certifications we don’t hold, and we’d rather tell you plainly what we are: a licensed electrical contractor that works Alvarado regularly, not a company that treats it as an afterthought. That also means we’re accountable if something goes wrong. A license number tied to real, verifiable work is worth more than a stack of logos on a website, and it’s what lets us stand behind a job in Alvarado the same way we would in Crowley.
A Flat Rate, Told to You Before We Start
We quote the job, not the clock. Before any work starts in your Alvarado home or on your property, you get a flat price for that specific job, and that’s the number on the invoice when we’re done. No surprise add-ons for the drive, no per-hour meter running while we figure out a wiring problem in an older wall. If something changes once we’re inside the panel or the attic, that gets discussed with you before we do the work, not billed after the fact.
If you’re in Alvarado and need a panel looked at, a circuit that keeps tripping, or a generator sized for your property, call (817) 533-0943 or reach out through our contact page. We’re a short drive down I-35W and we treat Alvarado jobs the same as jobs at our own front door.
