Licensed electricians serving Lancaster
Lancaster is about 15 miles south of downtown Dallas in southern Dallas County — from our Crowley base, that’s a real crosstown drive, well past Fort Worth and Arlington. We make the trip because Lancaster is a city with a genuinely old core (a town square laid out in 1852) surrounded by decades of newer suburban growth, and that combination produces electrical work that a licensed shop should be handling, not a side-gig handyman.

Homes in Lancaster
A Licensed Electrician Matters More in Older Building Stock
Working near a historic district, or in a house that’s 40-50 years old, means code requirements that a newer-construction electrician may not deal with day to day. TECL #41555 means we’re following current Texas electrical code on every job, whether it’s a straightforward outlet repair or a full panel replacement, and pulling permits where the job calls for it.
We also carry the liability insurance the state requires of a licensed electrician. That matters more in a mixed-age town like Lancaster, where a job near the historic square can turn up wiring conditions that a newer- construction electrician has never dealt with, and an unlicensed repair gone wrong leaves the homeowner, not the contractor, on the hook.
Not sure what your home needs? Call (817) 533-0943 and we’ll tell you straight.

What Lancaster homeowners say
Real Google reviews from customers across Fort Worth & DFW.
An Old Town Square, a Much Newer Suburb Around It
Lancaster’s historic square was designed with streets entering from the center of each side rather than the corners — a layout distinctive enough that it’s still a landmark today, even after fires and the 1994 F4 tornado that hit the area. The buildings and homes closest to that core are old by Dallas-Fort Worth standards.
Most of the rest of Lancaster, though, is a product of the 1970s-80s suburban boom — the city grew from about 1,045 people in 1900 to over 41,000 by 2020, with the bulk of that growth landing in new subdivisions built during that stretch. That means the typical Lancaster electrical panel is 40-plus years old, sized for a household that didn’t have central air, an EV, and a home office all drawing power at once.
Roads and Access
I-35E runs along Lancaster’s western boundary, with I-20 on the far north side and State Highway 342 running north-south through town, alongside Houston School Road and Belt Line Road. It’s a straightforward drive from Fort Worth by highway, but it’s still one of the farther cities we cover, and we’re upfront about that in scheduling and pricing rather than treating it as a quick add-on stop.
What We Handle in Lancaster
- Electrical panel upgrades: replacing undersized or outdated panels in 1970s-80s homes
- Wiring repair: including work in and around the older homes near the historic square
- Circuit breaker repair: a panel that won’t hold a reset is a fire risk, not a minor annoyance
- EV charger installation: for newer subdivisions where a commuter household wants home charging
- Whole-home generator installation: worth considering after any North Texas winter storm
- Emergency electrician service: sparking outlets, burning smells, or a dead panel don’t wait for a convenient time
What We Find in Lancaster’s Older Neighborhoods
Close to the town square and in the neighborhoods that grew up around it before the 1970s boom, we still run into fuse panels that were never converted to breakers, two-prong outlets with no ground, and wiring that’s been patched piecemeal over sixty-plus years by whoever was handy at the time. None of that is unusual for a town this old, but it does mean a proper inspection matters more than a quick outlet swap. We check the whole circuit, not just the fixture that’s acting up.
In the newer 1970s-80s subdivisions further from downtown, the more common issue is a panel that’s simply full. Homes from that era typically came with 100-amp service and maybe 20 circuit slots, which was plenty for the appliances of the time but leaves little room for a modern kitchen remodel, a workshop, or an EV charger added on top of everything else already running.
Permits and Inspections
Lancaster requires permits for panel upgrades, service changes, and most rewiring jobs, handled through the city rather than Dallas County directly. We take care of that paperwork and schedule around city inspection, so there’s no gap between the work getting done and it being on record as done correctly.
Flat-Rate Pricing
You get a flat rate before work starts. No open-ended hourly estimate that grows once the panel cover comes off.
