Licensed electricians serving Hudson Oaks
Neighbors Electric is based in Crowley, and Hudson Oaks sits roughly 20 miles west of Fort Worth along I-20, right next door to Willow Park in Parker County (76087). It’s a real trip out from our base, not a quick hop, and we quote it that way — a flat price that already accounts for the drive, agreed to before we start any work.
Hudson Oaks is a small city on paper, a little over two thousand residents, but the commercial growth along I-20 has brought a steady stream of electrical work our way, both from homeowners and from the businesses that have moved in around the highway.

Hudson Oaks: A Small City That Grew Up Fast
Interstate 20 runs right through Hudson Oaks and effectively splits the city, and the growth along that corridor has been fast. An HEB opened here in 2019, new retail and restaurants have followed, and the city has picked up a reputation as a commercial hub for this part of Parker County. In 2022 the city connected into Fort Worth’s water system, a shift away from its old reliance on Lake Weatherford — a sign of how much infrastructure has had to catch up with growth here.
Residentially, that growth means a mix of established homes near the I-20 corridor and newer construction going in around them. Older homes in Hudson Oaks often have panels that were adequate when they were built but haven’t been touched since, while newer builds are going in with higher electrical demands from the start — central air, EV chargers, and the kind of appliance load that just wasn’t standard a couple of decades ago.
Interstate 20 physically splitting the city also means our crews are working on both sides of the highway regularly, from homes near the Bankhead Highway frontage to newer construction further off the corridor. We don’t treat one side of town differently from the other — the flat rate and the licensing standard are the same either way.
The city’s 2022 switch to Fort Worth’s water system, moving away from the old Lake Weatherford supply, is a small but telling detail: Hudson Oaks has had to upgrade its infrastructure to keep up with growth it didn’t originally plan for, and a lot of individual homes are in the same position with their electrical panels. What was adequate for the town, and the house, twenty years ago isn’t necessarily adequate now.

Why the License Matters
Fast growth is exactly when corners get cut — a contractor in a hurry, a previous owner who did work without a permit, an addition wired by whoever was available at the time. Neighbors Electric holds Texas Electrical Contractor License #41555, and every job we take in Hudson Oaks, new construction or a decades-old panel, gets done to code and inspected, not just wired to pass a quick look.
That’s true whether the job is in a home or one of the businesses that have opened along the I-20 corridor. A licensed electrician pulls the right permits and follows the commercial code requirements that apply to a retail space or restaurant, which are not the same as residential code, even when the shortcuts look identical on the surface.
We also carry the liability insurance a licensed contractor is required to hold. If you hire an unlicensed handyman to save a little on the front end and something goes wrong later, you’re the one left explaining to an insurance adjuster who actually did the work and whether it was ever inspected.
What to Expect When You Call
We’ll get some basic information over the phone — what the property is, what the problem or project is — and schedule a visit to look at it directly before quoting a flat rate. Most repairs get handled the same day. Panel upgrades or new circuit work usually mean a permit gets pulled first, and we’ll walk you through that timeline before any work starts.
One Flat Price
You get a flat-rate quote before we start, no hourly clock and no travel surcharge tacked on after the fact because the job was 20 miles out. What we quote is what you pay.
